BJ Services, A division of Baker Hughes, has an opening for a Stimulation Engineer –Beijing, China. The successful applicant will be involved in the company’s largest ongoing stimulation project using industry leading technology.
Job Location:
Beijing - China
Job Description:
Run fracture simulations and production optimization using leading industry software.
Complete log analysis and construct models for simulation.
Meet with clients regarding completion and stimulation programs.
Give presentation to clients promoting the company’s products and services. Generate new business.
Complete training requirements as necessary. Candidates completely new to the oilfield will require approximately 6 months of field training.
Do wellsite QA/QC. Field to office time is approximately 80% office and 20% field.
Write post job analysis of completed stimulation treatments.
Complete laboratory testing as required for stimulation fluids.
After completing training requirements for stimulation. Candidates will be required to train for other service lines such as acidizing, sand control, completion tools, coiled tubing interventions, etc.
Assist in the training and mentoring of new engineers.
Comply with company HSE policy and procedures
Job Qualifications:
A related degree in engineering, and/or geosciences.
Familiarity with proper laboratory procedure.
Proficiency in English and Chinese language.
3-5 years of industry experience is beneficial but not required.
Frac experience is highly beneficial but not essential.
Experience in Meyers or other fracture stimulation software is beneficial but not required.
Previous fracturing experience is beneficial but not required.
Good proactive attitude
Remuneration will be dependent on experience and will be competitive with other international companies.
