Job Description:
Well site Geologist is the representative of Company on site/well cluster, who is to supervise drilling operations on day-to-day basis to ensure they are conducted in accordance with approved drilling Program and in compliance with the applicable Company Policies/Standards, good oilfield practice within the allocated time/cost with optimal use of resources.
• Reduce non-productive time due to unappropriated mud logging services in well construction;
• Reduce mud logging service time by way of optimizing process solutions;
• Monitor the mud logging company’s HSE performance to ensure that all operations are executed safely and responsibly according to rules;
• Responsibility to inform the Drilling Contractor, Drilling Supervisor and the Geology Superintendent in case of inadequate performance rules;
• Advise on suitable corrective action but must not take the responsibility to implement such action of directly supervise the mud logging contractor personal. This is the responsibility of the mud logging contractor;
• Review compliance of the Mud Logging Contractor to his policies and procedures the safety checks, inspections and incident investigations conducted by the contractor, including the timely close-out of remedial actions;
• Generally, observe for compliance with safe working practices (e.g. safe lifting and slinging, welding, working at height, use of PPE, etc.);
• Maintain accuracy of Paperwork reporting. Comply with the requirements of the reporting system;
• Require and monitor the Mud Logging Contractor to an integrated service for the wells drilling, to ensure the proper order on the Rig site.
• Control Mud Logging sensors and Unit rig-up, control tools/equipment/sensors calibration and Mud Logging unit start-up. Sign commissioning act after start-up.
Requirements:
• Degree in oil and gas geology
• At least 5 years of work experience in oil and gas industry
• At least 2 years work experience as Well Site Geologist in international service companies;
• IWCF/IADC certificate
• H2S certificate
